What: Harris County Sheriff's Office Foundation third annual Sharpshooter Competition.

Where: The Athena Gun Club.

The scoop: The three-stage marksmanship competition was chaired by Matt Rigdon with Katrina Arnim organizing the fundraiser that attracted a group of 100 fans of the foundation.

The event not only raised $50,000 but also K9s4COPS was presented with a check for $15,000 to fund an additional K9 officer. And that was sweet news for Kristi Schiller, K9s4COPS founder and board chair, as was the fact that she ranked second in the competition.

Top sharpshooters were Beau Bisso, Tad Tellepsen and David Ducote with Robin Anderson and K9 Office Chris Moore joining Schiller in second place. Coming in third was Tracy Krohn, HCSOF board chair, Lonnie Reynolds and K9 officer HCSO Sgt. Robert Henry.

Who: Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman, John Moritz, Franco Valobra, Steve Mach, Cappy Bisso, Ugo Tombolini, Joe Rubbo, Robert Contreras, Jay Fields and Richard Fant.
