What: "Toss for Texas Children's Heart Center."

Where: The lush grounds of Houston Polo Club.

The scoop: More than 400 young-at-heart guests gathered to seriously compete in the annual bean bag toss on one of those rare lovely fall nights. When not tossing the bags, guests grazed through a pasture of tasty offerings just right for casual partying from A Fare Extraordinaire —  custom burger sliders, pumpkin and pistachio chicken satay, Caesar salad cups and a gourmet popcorn bar.

KPRC Channel 2 anchor Rachel McNeill emceed before handing it over to Cari Griggs and Amy Reeves, the female half of the evening's chairs, who announced the first place winners. Congratulations to brothers David Anderson and Michael Anderson.

Who: Chairs John Griggs and Mike Reeves,  plus  Dr. Charles Fraser, Texas Children's surgeon-in-chief, Leslie and Michael Fertitta, Angie and Townsend Hilliard, Hasti Taghi, Dr. Wayne Franklin, Julie Comiskey, Elizabeth and Wyatt Hogan, Marye and John Nickens.
