What: Houston Children Give Back inaugural luncheon.

Where: The Junior League of Houston.

The scoop: New York Times financial columnist Ron Lieber shared his "give, save, spend" philosophy with supporters for the newly-organized non-profit.  “Talking about kids, parenting, money and values in partnership with Houston Children Give Back at its first Houston fundraiser is the perfect opportunity to engage the community in a conversation about stewardship and what we all owe one another," he said.

Heading the luncheon program were Houston Children Give Back co-founder Anika Jackson and luncheon chair Staci Henderson.

Who: Dena Winkler, Tricia Dewhurst, Sheldon Kramer, Ruchi Mukherjee, Jill Shull, Michael Pierce and Matt Burrus, Jackie Fair,  Justin Hellyer, Nina Gutiterrez-Garcia, Amy Pierce, Debra Costello, Jenna McCormick and David Peck.
