Such was the scene at the Hermann Park Conservancy "Birthday en Blanc" social held on the banks of McGovern Lake, where Urban Green members and guests basked in the beauty that is this 100-year-old green treasure. Suspended white balloons, white ribbons swaying from the trees, flickering tiki torches and white floating candles offered a breezy backdrop that raised awareness for a group that's dedicated to the preservation and improvement of Hermann Park.
Party chairs Jennifer Hobson, Gregory Kaldis, Jon Sanfelippo and Kelly and David Leonard orchestrated the classy affair that included a spread of casual foods from local restaurants plus refreshing bevs courtesy of Saint Arnold Brewing Company. With tunes by DJ Mav and DJ M-Cue, energy was high as the emerging philanthropists pored over a silent auction that featured a signed J.J. Watt football and four sideline tickets to a Houston Texans game.
