What: Eye Care for Kids gala and golf tournament.

Where: The Omni Houston Hotel and the Quail Valley Golf Course.

The 411: The "Awesome '80s Flashback" gala was chaired by Melissa Ayers and Yexenia Gilment while  Dr. Irv “Doc” Wishnow, Eye Care for Kids founder, chaired the "Golf Fore Site" tournament. The combined events raised $90,000 that will provide free eye exams and new glasses to nearly 1,800 children. KHOU Channel 11's Katherine Whaley served as emcee for the evening event.

Who: Helping raise funds for the charity were Dr. Richard Ullman, Daisy and Dr. Bill Quayle, Tony Gwartney, Ken and Kathryn Ward, Michelle DesChenes, Susan Schmaeling, Blake Quinn, Andrea Aubin, Mary Katheryn and Brian Aston and Julie and Phil Caggiano.
