Over 320 glam art lovers celebrated the season at the Rienzi Spring Party, chaired by Stacey and Jeff Henningsen, Rachel and Mark Lawrence, and Angie and John Reckling.
The festive soiree raised $152,000 in support of Rienzi, the River Oaks mansion designed by prominent Houston architect John Staub in 1952 that nows serves as the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston museum for European decorative arts.
The event shined the spotlight on the Mexican Room at Rienzi via a “Mexican Fiesta” theme.

Guests enjoyed cocktails and dinner poolside at Rienzi, situated on four acres of wooded gardens. The mansion was the formerly the home of Houston arts patrons Carroll Sterling Masterson and Harris Masterson III.

The décor and and flowers by Swift + Company included tables adorned with black and melon linens, along with colorful centerpieces of orange roses, fuchsia anemones, red Gerbera daisies, and blue hydrangeas.

The menu by Swift + Company included passed hors d’oeuvres, from squash blossom quesadillas to jalapeno quail and pecan-smoked bacon brochettes, and buffet fare including cheese enchiladas, roasted fresh corn and crispy beef tacos.
