Luxury developer and man-about-town Monsour Taghdisi has a very special 50th birthday party on the books next month — the launch of his ultra cool event space midway between River Oaks and Montrose.

The LIFE HTX sign already announces the presence of the sleek new party venue at 2512 Woodhead, a stone's throw from Westheimer.

"As a longtime Houston resident and luxury builder, I recognized the need for an elegant, exclusive and innovative event space in a prime neighborhood," Taghdisi says in a statement.

Taghdisi, known for his beautiful townhomes, has created the space with custom-built interior features including 14-foot gallery walls which can be completely transformed using high-tech lighting and state-of-the-art projector systems. RGB/LED lighting and 100-foot long projector screens allow for infinite possibilities with the space that can be transformed by dynamic images and transportive video.

"We’ve curated every detail, from the projection system to the caterer’s kitchen in order to delight our most discerning guests,” Taghdisi continues.

With a 250-seat capacity, the space will be ideal for everything from romantic weddings to intimate galas to private nightclub parties. Particularly interesting deign wise is the balcony level accessed by a dual stairway.

That mid-May, invitation-only birthday bash is being produced by Richard Flowers of The Events Company and hosted by a coterie of H-town sophisticates —Lindley Arnoldy, Sima Ladjevardian, Lucinda Loya, Melissa Mithoff, Henry Richardson, Dominique Sachse and Becca Cason Thrash.
