Fantasies of getting behind the wheel of a Rolls Royce, a Maserati or some other brand of exotic auto — without the sticker shock — just came closer to reality for Houstonians with the debut of Platinum Motorcars. Proving that the luxury rental car company knows how to get Houston's engines revved, Dallas-based Platinum hosted a blowout launch party at Hotel ZaZa.

ZaZa in fact is home to the new kid in the Museum District and that's where Platinum Motorcars founders Benny Black and David Nguyen showcased eight of their fab autos. Many among the 150 guests took advantage of the opportunity to slip behind the wheel of one of these beauties for the ultimate road master photo opp.

While slaking their thirsts with Kettle One and Crown Royal, the exotic car aficionados bought raffle tickets and bid on auction items with proceeds benefting Owen Daniels' Catching Dreams Foundation.

Surprise moment: When Hotel ZaZa's Spencer Lane hit the party scene with a sizzling birthday dessert for  Don Vaughn, the rocking DJ and Houston's most eligible bachelor (according to Cosmopolitan magazine).

The crowd in the fast lane included Z Resort Management president Benji Homsey, Ameer Jumabhoy Suzy Bergner, Michael Pearson, Chris Canonico, Bridgett Boggess, Sonia Soto, Thomas Davis, Erin Hicks, Catarina Cron, Dr. Semant Jain and Hotel ZaZa executive vice president Matthew Nuss.
