Houston-based Sunshine Kids Foundation, which has been providing support for kids with cancer for three decades, celebrated its 30th anniversary with a Sunset Soirée at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse River Oaks where headliners were former Astro Craig Biggio, Major Crimes star G.W. Bailey and Channel 13 KTRK sports anchor Bob Allen.

Special guests included Patty Biggio and Astros owner Jim Crane and wife Franci Crane.

That celebration was just part of a month-long charitable fundraising effort sponsored by Fleming's River Oaks in honor of that eatery's 10th anniversary. For a week, Sunshine Kids received $10 of every special menu, created by chef partner James Cole

Additional charities benefiting for one week during the month are Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, United 2 Cure, Candlelighters and City Art Works. Fleming's operating partner Sam Governale is hosting the fundraising effort.
