While there isn't much fashion leeway for the horse owners who will strut their stuff at the upcoming Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, what to wear while viewing the competitions is another matter. Tootsies managed to put that quandary to rest at the "What to Wear to That Equestrian Affaire" benefit luncheon.

The fundraising began early (the show starts March 20) with the event at the Wynden, where chairs Alexi Caruselle, Janine K. Iannarelli and Elizabeth Wood raised $55,000. Beneficiaries of the day and of the show itself are Texas Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance.

Close to 200 turned out for the event sponsored by Pin Oak Charity Horse Show and the Houston Polo Club.

It was a special day for Astrid Van Dyke, who received a magnum of Moet & Chandon champagne with her name in Swarovski crystals, her reward for winning the 2012 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show Hatter Derby. Moet Hennessy USA's rep Robert Gilroy made the presentation.

In the mix were Texas Children's John Scales, Ronald McDonald House's Leslie Bourne and Candlelighters' Gay Foust plus Pin Oak president Lynn Walsh, Pin Oak executive director Roxanne Cook, Lynda Transier, Mindy Hildebrand, Deana Blackburn, Elly Berman, Roseann Rogers, Wendy Reeves and Marcy de Luna.
