Sparrow Bar + Cookshop was packed to overflowing as some 250 poured in to remember James William Craig and artist Daniel-Kayne, both of whom died last year. The celebration of friendship and life served as an impromptu fundraiser for Crisis Hotline.

With underwriting from Land Rover Houston Central and a special gift from George Lancaster, the gathering raised $6,000, donated in memory of the two lost friends.

But this was no downer event. Spirits were high and remembrances happy as guests feasted on a plethora of bar bites from Monica Pope and Dawn Burrell and sipped on blood orange cocktails.

Among those toasting the fellows included Libby Cagle, Gregory Fourticq, Elaine Dillard, Steven and Sarah Deutser, Chad Neal, Brittany Zucker, Brad Hensler, Mark Sullivan, Christopher Mendel, Caroline Starry LeBlanc, Stuart Rosenberg, Lauren Levicki, Liz Gorman, Michael Mandola and Claudia Solis.
