A first Dallas-area location for Shake Shack has officially emerged, but it's a hike north: A branch will go into the Legacy West development in Plano. Since the project is not yet built, no opening date has been determined.

The project is on the west side of the Tollway at Legacy Drive, and it will be home to the new offices for Toyota, FedEx Office and Liberty Mutual Insurance. It also includes retail, restaurants, a Renaissance Hotel, apartments and offices.

Restaurants already announced include Taverna, Bistro 31, Toulouse, True Food Kitchen and TFK sibling North Italia. According to Eater, the development will also include Eddie V's, Velvet Taco, Oishii and Sprinkles Cupcakes.

Shake Shack is the cult-favorite burger joint from New York restaurateur Daniel Meyer. Its first Texas location opened in Austin earlier this year.

In addition to burgers, Shake Shack favorites include shakes and crinkle fries.
