West Oaks Mall is adding some serious country flair.
The 28,000-square-foot bar/restaurant/sometime concert venue from the mind (or at least the branding) of the country music superstar will feature barbecue, live country music and dancing. And oh yes, it will have a 95-foot guitar-shaped bar — the signature of the burgeoning chain.
"The venue will create an entertainment experience featuring some of the best emerging and established stars in country music," Frank Capri, CEO of the bar & grill, said in a statement.
The restaurant is known for its lively atmosphere, its Whiskey Girl waitresses and drinks served in mason jars.
West Oaks Mall is set on 92 acres and is bounded by Highway 6, Westheimer Road and Richmond Avenue. It's also adding an Edwards Cinemas as the Alamo Drafthouse there closes. There are more than two million people within a short driving distance of the mall.
"Houston is an amazing market with great potential and West Oaks Mall is a perfect environment for our concept,” Capri said.
Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill currently operates in multiple locations in the United States, including one in a Las Vegas casino, with five additional restaurants under construction.
