If you’ve got $2.4 million and some change, take a look at 3417 Villanova St. in University Park — available because its owner, former Dallas Mavericks point guard Jose Calderon, is now playing for the New York Knicks.

We spied this Santa Barbara-styled stunner on Candy’s Dirt, where real estate maven Candy Evans cooed over its sleek design. The home, listed with Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s, was built in 2009 and sits across from the recently renovated Coffee Park. It boasts 6,737 elegantly styled square feet, with five bedrooms, five full baths and one powder room. Because it’s so new, there’s not a touch-up to be made.

The master bathroom has two giant marble-topped vanities that appear to float above the marble floor.

This home was designed for entertaining, with optimal flow through the living and dining spaces. The impeccable kitchen boasts dark wood cabinetry and white countertops and backsplash; the enormous island provides ample additional storage and seating for four. Gleaming medium-toned hardwoods tie together the entire first floor.

Upstairs are those spacious bedrooms, plus a playroom for the kiddos. The master bathroom has two giant marble-topped vanities that appear to float above the marble floor. There will be no fighting for space in here.

The covered patio out back, accessible through several sets of French doors, also serves as an outdoor kitchen, outfitted with range, mini-fridge and sink. A fan overhead helps keep things cool under there, even during the warmer months.

As Evans notes, it’s too bad Calderon got traded to New York. “He will never find this much space or stunning design in the Big Apple for $2.5 million,” she writes. “For that he’ll get a nice place in SoHo or maybe even the Upper East side.

"But 6,700 square feet in Manhattan? No way, Jose.”
