Do you have a dozen or so friends with well-paying jobs and mild temperaments looking for a home? Then you might be interested in a custom-built Moroccan-style manse in Rivercrest that has recently been listed for lease — complete with its custom tile work, domed ceilings, crystal chandeliers and water features in an interior courtyard — for $26,000 per month.

That makes it the most expensive residential lease on the Houston Association of Realtors website.

The 16,532-square-foot home was listed last year with Martha Turner Properties for $5.9 million, but we imagine that a communal living situation would look like something along the lines of The Real World: Alhambra edition. Added bonuses: Three separate kitchens and an expansive backyard with a swimming pool, offering plenty of room to escape from your housemates.

Have that kind of dough to spend on digs for a smaller family? Take a look at the second priciest property on the market, an English Regency-style estate on Crestwood Drive near Memorial Park.

The four-bedroom, four-bath, "furnished if desired" home leases for $25,000 per month and comes with underground garages, extensive grounds and, yep, a swimming pool.

A $3.5 million, Mediterranean stucco, five-bedroom-and-six-bath home in Tanglewood has been listed for residential lease for $15,000 per month, a River Oaks estate built in 1938 has been listed for $14,500 per month and a 1,600-square-foot, three-bedroom penthouse in The Museum Tower at 4899 Montrose Blvd. has been listed for $12,680 per month.
