3 Saddlewood Estates Drive

The home of Houston culinary legend Michael Cordúa, located in a gated community in Hunter's Creek, was built in 1991 and recently updated. Situated on a wooded 22,812-square-foot lot, the two-story home features four bedrooms — the master bedroom on the first floor has an oversized walk-in closet with custom Programme Martin shelving — and four baths, including a master bath with his and hers vanities, Chromo therapy tub, separate shower with steam feature, towel warmers, and water closet with instant hot water available.

A living and dining room on the first floor feature custom Versailles pattern hardwood floors while an expansive indoor-outdoor air-conditioned atrium with a retractable glass roof is made for entertaining in a tropical atmosphere.

The elements: Befitting a culinary wizard who created such Houston restaurants as Churrascos, Americas, Artista, and Amazon Grill, the recently renovated kitchen features new designer tile floors and cabinets, white marble counters, Subzero refrigerator/freezer, Gaggenau steam two-oven combo with built-in heated pizza stone, wok gas burner, and induction cooktop. An additional summer kitchen adjoining the atrium allows for outdoor cooking, with sink, refrigerator, rotisserie and grill.

Windows in the main kitchen can be opened to the central atrium, which also features a fountain spa and a drop-down movie screen. A rear patio area features a spa pool, tanning ledge, waterfall, and gas fireplace. An oversized two-car garage includes a catering kitchen for the chef who wants to cook nearly everywhere in the house.

Other highlights include a paneled library with fireplace and wet bar with sink plus refrigerator/freezer drawers, an expansive upstairs game room, and an upstairs outdoor terrace with Trex decking material.
