Pocketbooks beware: Biscuit Homegoods has opened on a street corner near you.

After a picture-perfect grand opening party last Saturday, Houston native Bailey Quin McCarthy, the blogger behind Peppermint Bliss, unlatched the doors to Biscuit's flagship store at 2608 Westheimer on Monday along with longtime friends and Biscuit business partners Isabel Reed Wilson and Christina Ducruet.

Biscuit is slated to become the go-to place in Upper Kirby and beyond for luxurious printed bedding at an approachable price point, with crisp linens in bright hues lining the walls of the former Little Patootie's shop.

But the space will also serve as the home base for McCarthy's separate-but-related interior design services operation. Room vignettes feature bold color combinations on custom-reupholstered furniture and salvaged vintage fixtures — a taste of the interior designer's talents.

McCarthy also hopes to use the space to showcase work from local artists and artisans.

Biscuit Homegoods is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, and McCarthy tells CultureMap that the online shop opens for business next week.
