Houston restaurants and food trucks have been covered in countless magazines, from Southern Living to GQ to Garden & Gun. However this month might mark the first time a local eatery has been featured in Parenting.

The Houston food in question is Monster PBJ, which made the magazine's list of seven food trucks from across the country that are great for kids. With its Barney-purple exterior and cute branding and packaging, Monster certainly has a kid-friendly style.

"Food trucks are a hip yet affordable way to introduce your kids to new cultures and cuisines," says the mag, although a trip to Monster with their gourmet versions of childhood faves is less about a new food culture and more about kids learning that their parents should be making better peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, demanding an array of nut butter options and trips to the farmers market for fresh jalapeno strawberry jam.
