When it comes to burger raptures, Houstonians tend to favor the hole in the wall joints — Lankford Grocery & Market, Christian's Tailgate, Sparkle's Hamburger Spot.
But when Bon Appetit compiled a list of their 10 favorite hamburger spots around the country, they found a winner in a slightly more exalted setting: Branch Water Tavern.
The BWT burger, made with house-ground kobe beef, white cheddar and bacon, has become so popular it's made the move from the lunch and bar menus to a dinner entree.
