Lady Gaga has never been one to shy away from the spotlight. But in a new ad campaign for Coach, the pop superstar's pooch, Miss Asia Kinney, takes center stage.

The French bulldog poses with a purple Coach Edie bag in a portrait snapped by noted photographer Steven Meisel, with art direction from Fabien Baron. She sits on the lap of an unidentified blonde who doesn't appear to be Gaga.

It's part of an ad campaign titled "Coach Pups," that features a series of portraits of celebrity pets "modeling" the brand's fall 2015 bags.

Gaga didn't seem bothered about being upstaged, for once. "I really love getting to watch my best friend be a star," the singer noted in a press release.

The dog shares a last name with Gaga's fiancé, Taylor Kinney.

Coach creative director Stuart Vevers, said the photo was inspired by some images from the company's archive that featured Eddie, the dog that starred in the classic TV series Frasier.

In conjunction with the ad campaign, Coach is launching a social media blitz with #coachpups, including a range of online activities for fellow dog lovers and debuting a Coach Snapchat account. Coach has also made a donation to Chicago French Bulldog Rescue in the dog's honor.
