Marilyn Monroe is headed to The Woodlands. A new spa modeled around the iconic film legend and pop icon plans to open its first Texas location at the end of the month.
The full-service luxury spa and salon, known as Marilyn Monroe Spas, will debut at 24 Waterway Avenue in the heart of the bustling suburb north of Houston.
The 2,600-square-foot spa, currently under construction, will be dotted with images of the icon and will feature signature Monroe bath and skin products. The Marilyn Monroe Relaxation Room and three large treatment rooms can accommodate one or two guests per room for anniversaries and special occasions, with full-service food and beverage catering and Marilyn Monroe gift bags.
The spa menu will include relaxing massages, rejuvenating facials, trendy nail treatments, full-service hairstyling, professional makeup application and such treatment options as “The Works,” the Sense-sational Manicure/Pedicure, and Marilyn’s Signature Fassage.
The spa will also offer a variety of memberships as well as a rewards program.
The chain has locations in Florida, where the concept was created by hospitality industry veterans and former Walt Disney executives, as well as in New York, California and Hawaii.
Texas franchisees Jeff and Loretta Sommers say they plan to build eight to ten locations over the next three to five years.
“We are proud to bring Marilyn Monroe Spas to The Woodlands,” Jeff Sommers said in a statement. “Marilyn Monroe Spas offers a pristine, chic and social environment that we can’t wait to introduce it to the community. Our sleek new space will serve as the perfect escape for Houstonians to unwind, relax and be pampered.”
