Drybar is bringing its signature selection of blowouts to the Upper Kirby District, with plans to open a second Houston location in early spring.

The buttercup yellow signage announcing the new salon is up on the windows of the shopping center on Westheimer, near Sloan Hall, just across from West Ave. An exact open date hasn’t been set, but plans are for the doors to open in February or March.

Drybar blew into Houston in August 2013, setting up shop in Uptown Park, with the tag line of "No cuts. No color. Just blowouts." The blow dry bar offers eight different styles to choose from, including the Manhattan (a sleek straight look) and the Southern Comfort (think big, soft Texas hair).

Drybar blowouts are $40 and the salon offers a Barfly membership for $75, which includes two blowouts a month, a free birthday blowout and a $35 fee instead of $40.
