J.R. returns! Larry Hagman has the last laugh in rollicking Dallas holiday video greeting

Larry Hagman may be gone, but he's certainly not forgotten.

The actor, who so memorably played the dastardly J.R. Ewing in the classic TV series Dallas and was a major reason why the reboot on TNT has been so successful, is a centerpiece in a rollicking holiday video promoting the new series, which returns January 28.

The video has the Ewing clan punching, slapping and uttering choice epithets to the tune of "Jingle Bells."

Sadly, Hagman died on the day after Thanksgiving and it will be interesting to see how the writers send him off in style on the series. (He had filmed several episodes before his death.)

If this video, which was brought to our attention by CultureMap movie contributor Joe Leydon, is any indication, it will be a fun farewell.
