Speaking to CultureMap, Todd described her departure as a "mutual" decision. While Todd's morning co-anchor Brad Booker left KHMS in June and is now on a morning show in Las Vegas, Todd stayed and moved to an afternoon shift.
"Things obviously didn't work out the way I wanted," says Todd, "but I have nothing but good things to say about Kidd Kraddick ... I'm not mad about it."
Todd, who previously co-anchored a morning show with Sam Malone on KRBE for 13 years, says she hopes to stay in Houston and that she is open to new possibilities.
"I just want to go somewhere where I can use my abilities the best I can," she says. "I want to make somebody's day every day... that's a good reason to get out of bed. No matter what I'm doing or where I end up I'm going to take my sense of humor."
After CultureMap reported that Todd had been moved to afternoons at the station in June, more than a hundred readers wrote in to praise her and Booker and complain about the shift to the Dallas-based Kraddick in the prime morning drive-time slot.
