Are the Astros creating “Bad Blood” with Houston’s Taylor Swift fans?

The baseball team has thrown a curve ball in Swift’s concert calendar by calling dibs on their home turf, Minute Maid Park, where Swift was slotted to perform on October 13.

As a result, the popular musical artist has rescheduled the Houston stop of The 1989 World Tour at the downtown stadium to Wednesday, September 9.

Currently in second place in the American League West — just one game out of first — the Astros have their sites set on the playoffs and a potential spot in a Division Series game, which would conflict with the October date.

“The new show date will ensure that fans of Taylor Swift will have every opportunity to see her perform at Minute Maid Park, as the September 9th date does not conflict with any potential postseason baseball,” the Astros stated in a release today.

Ticket holders, guaranteed the same seat, will simply use their original tickets to get into the concert in September.
