Tiny car; big pursuit

Not so smart: Driver arrested after high-speed Smart Car chase ends in his driveway

Smart Cars are better known for absurdly infinitesimal size and good fuel economy than for speediness. But that didn't stop 49-year-old Houston resident David Wheaton from leading a DPS officer in a high-speed chase on Wednesday afternoon.

The tiny car sped down I-10, up to the North Loop, off of the exit ramp and into the driveway of Wheaton's home — and aerial footage of the chase shows it looking like a toy, maneuvering past coups and SUVs that look positively elephantine in comparison.

Though the perpetrator's getaway reason is not so funny (KHOU reports that officers charged Wheaton with his third DWI), the footage is simply hilarious. Just watch below.
