Neighborhood residents are asking drivers on the notoriously poorly-lit boulevard to watch their speed.
His green Ford Ranger broke through a chain-link fence, launched into the air and landed in the bayou. An HPD dive team located the vehicle and found the driver inside. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
But in the wake a similarly fatal accident at the site last month, neighborhood residents are asking drivers on the notoriously poorly-lit boulevard to watch their speed.
“They need a dead end sign or reflectors,” area resident Ruben Zermerno tells KHOU Ch. 11. “Because obviously it seems like the road might continue.”
Houston police are investigating the crash site for further details.
