A Rocking Good Time

Elvis crashes this young couple's dream wedding in River Oaks — yet, it's somehow not tacky

He popped the question, she said, "Yes!" and this young couple began planning the wedding of their dreams.

Spoiler alert: Elvis enters the house.

The bride is Leigh Turner, a graduate of St. John's School and the University of Texas. The groom, Michael McFarlane, attended Kinkaid School until he left for boarding school at Episcopal in Virginia. He later went to Georgetown University.

Let the celebration begin!

Leigh, wearing a Kenneth Pool wedding gown from Mia Bridal Couture with custom alterations for beaded straps, is escorted down the aisle by her father at St. John the Divine.

Wedding Flowers by Lisa lines the aisle with greenery, adding freshness to the ambiance.

Leigh and Michael exchange the customary kiss (with oohs and aahs and many happy tears in the audience) as the maids of honor proudly look on —  all sisters of the bride and groom. The maids of honor look stunning in Badgley Mischka.

Flowers by Lisa continue the celebration with topiaries leading guests down the hallway to the ballroom at River Oaks Country Club.

Tall flower arrangements accommodate conversation and small groupings of bright, delicate flowers enhance them.

And here he is, as promised, bringing down the house along with Sauce The Band.

May I have this dance, please?

Congratulations to the newlyweds, who plan to live in Houston with Leigh a real estate agent and Michael in oil and gas. And, Leigh adds, "to continue enjoying time with family, friends and our dog, Monty."
