It's the season for all things pumpkin—and right on cue, Houston-area pumpkin patches are opening their gates. Grab the kids and carve out out some time to visit one of the 10 best patches, ranked by Houston residents, and embark on some seasonal fun. 

Dewberry Farm
Dewberry Farm comes in tops on this list. The Brookshire, Texas spot boasts an 8-acre corn maze, hayrides, train rides, zip-lines, a barnyard, food by 10 different vendors, and lots more. Dewberry Farm is open weekends from September 30 through November 12. Tickets: $29.95 per person to enter.

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm
Head to Old Time Christmas Tree Farm for pumpkin picking, train rides and hay rides, and access to a giant slide, mini slide, inflatable corn maze, and bounce house. Old Time is open weekends from October 1 through October 29. Tickets: $5 per person to enter, plus an additional $2 per activity.
