Houstonians looking for gluten-free, tasty options for meals have a new option in town. While many of the Bayou City’s restaurants and markets feature selections for those with gluten allergies, The Blonde Pantry takes it to the next level. The Marla Murphy-led pop-up concept offers artisan meals that are fully prepped with local and gluten-free ingredients.
The healthy, nutritious offerings for breakfast, lunch, and dinner provide grab-and-go meals that are ready to be quickly made and enjoyed.
The Blonde Pantry opened in Upper Kirby at The Shops at Arrive in an upstairs suite on March 2. In addition to the feature, shoppers can order online and have items delivered.
“We encourage Houstonians to eat local, shop local, and cook like a blonde,” says founder and nutrition expert Marla Murphy, who is also a registered dietitian. “We are so excited to have this retail space to become more ingrained in people’s lifestyles and homes. You can come in, try our meals, and become obsessed. We want The Blonde Pantry to be a part of your pantry, your fridge, and your family.”
The Blonde Pantry has offered healthy meal delivery for three years but rebranded last May to offer a more expansive product line and delivery area. With meals that are prepped, marinated, chopped, and ready for you to heat and eat, the company’s mission is to bring nutritious meals to Houstonians who love to eat well and maintain a wholesome lifestyle.
This six-month pop-up space will serve as the first retail location for The Blonde Pantry and will allow Houstonians to eat locally and healthfully. In addition to all of the prepared take-and-bake meals available on The Blonde Pantry website, the pop-up space will also serve ready-to-eat dishes such as soups, salads, and even special chicken salads created just for the new location.
The Blonde Pantry is located at The Shops at Arrive, 2800 Kirby Dr., suite 232. Hours are 10 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday; 10 am to 5 pm Saturday; and noon to 5 pm Sunday.
