Amid Mardi Gras debauchery, RodeoHouston rowdy fun and the usual Bayou City social calendar madness, we can understand if you've missed some of the most talked about stories of the past couple of weeks.

But don't get your panties in a bunch — just yet. Another edition of the "Up To Speed" video series sponsored by Cadillac is swooping in to save the day, meaning, save you from the horrible embarrassment of not being abreast of the top stories loved by CultureMap readers.

In two minutes (ish), you'll be caught up with what has been the talk of the town.

Offering hilarious and sometimes risqué commentary is the darling Maggie Flecknoe, who's making her CultureMap debut as the co-host of the news series. Flecknoe, an actress, television and radio personality, is best known for hosting Online Dish on CW 39 NewsFix. You may recognize her witty style from her work as an entertainment, news and traffic reporter for Radio 740 KTRH and 790 The Sports Animal.

Flecknoe holds a bachelor of science degree in journalism and broadcast news and a minor in theater from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She followed that by studying at Harvard University and the Moscow Art Theatre School, where she earned a master's degree in theater.
