Wild West

In a city as big as Houston, with its skyscrapers, traffic and bustling population, it is easy to forget that you’re in the Lone Star State. For a change of pace from the typical too-cool-for-school nightspots pretend you're an urban cowboy for the night, round up your friends and head to Wild West on the Richmond strip. This large nightclub and bar boasts a solid oak dance floor, pool tables and some of the cheapest drinks in town. Naturally the music is mostly country, but the DJ throws in a few dance and hip-hop tunes for good measure. Check out the Web site for daily drink specials and events. You may have to pay a cover charge, but it's generally not too much and the drinks are cheap enough to make it worth your while.
