Tintos

Venezuelan-born chef and owner Alberto Alfonzo has brought authentic Spanish cuisine to a cozy corner of the River Oaks Shopping Center. Tintos is a great late-night spot inside the loop for traditional and modern tapas and tasty wine from South America and Spain. You can enjoy reasonably priced glasses or on the patio, which is lovely, or buy it retail to take home.
We haven't sampled the whole menu, but we can tell you this: the scallops are to die for, and the churros con chocolate are not to be missed.
"Tinto de Verano" is a summer drink popular in southern Spain, and translates to mean "color of summer."
