Nolan-Rankin Galleries

If you’re drawn to the French school of European art, Nolan-Rankin Galleries is a required destination where you’ll get lost in the vibrant sensuality of modern fauvist, figurative, colorist and expressionist works. Many of the artists represented here have worked with masters such as Picasso, Marzelle, Ravel, Claude Schurr, Roedere, P. Alder, Bergés, Giot and P.G. Rigaud and studied at some of the most internationally renowned art schools of France including the Sorbonne, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and l’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts. The gallery’s location within Chelsea Market offers you a chance to stroll around and tuck into some of the charming shops while you’re there. If the weather is nice, why not fill a basket with baguettes, cheese, pâté and fresh fruit plus a bottle of Château-Neuf-du-Pape beforehand, and enjoy a very Rive Gauche-like picnic in nearby Hermann Park afterwards.
