Sometimes we’re jealous of our friends who live in Manhattan and have cool restaurants, clubs, shops, parks and theaters mere steps from their apartments. That’s changing because three city blocks in downtown are being transformed into a sleek entertainment, retail and business hub. Geoffrey Jones and William Denton have created  700,000 square feet of stylish inner-city entertainment with much of what you want right there and all of downtown Houston just beyond. The retail space spans three levels with entertainment offerings, like House of Blues, Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge, Forever 21, BCBG and Yao’s Restaurant and Bar – just to name a few. There is great al fresco dining and window shopping in a central courtyard plus loft office space on the mid-block between Fannin and San Jacinto Streets, offering businesses an edgy but professional space with 13 1/2-foot ceilings, polished concrete flooring and spiral duct work.
