The Lowdown

This restaurant on the busiest part of Kirby Drive may be known for chocolate-cinnamon shakes and burgers with smoky backyard flavors, but it’s the Mexican breakfasts that draw us back, with such offerings as scrambled eggs with tender cuts of cactus or scrambled eggs with Goode Co. homemade Mexican chorizo sausage. (Did we say we love their scrambled eggs?) Another morning treat: The combo of two eggs cooked any way you like and mesquite-smoked quail with hash browns, toast or biscuits. Breakfast prices have gone up here, but the quality remains.
