Come here hungry and ready to eat, since the parade of slow-roasted meats ready to be carved tableside is impossible to resist. Fogo de Chao is known for its perfectly seasoned meats roasted over an open flame to bring out each individual flavor, then skewered and carved up at your request. This fabulous chain started in Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil, and now Fogo can be found all over the country, but each restaurant has its own special personality and décor. Here it's all about a comfortable atmosphere and neutral, earthy materials—a luxe Texas country feel. The gaucho lifestyle is depicted through large murals on the walls and with a grandiose table used as a salad buffet. All in all, it's a must-try for Houston carnivores.
