Brasil
|
We have two artist friends who used to go alone to Brasil every morning to drink coffee and contemplate their work. After a couple of weeks of noticing each other, they started sitting at the same table and talking. Two years later they got married in rural France. Such is Brasil. This independent coffee house in lower Montrose not only offers-up a friendly, bohemian atmosphere and top-drawer java but also a limited and delicious menu which features fried oyster omelets, homemade soups of tomato-fennel and carrot as well as designer pizzas. Wine and cocktails are also served and there’s often live music as well as a rotating exhibit of local art. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your lover. Bring your laptop or a good book and go by yourself. It’s that kind of scene.
Brasil's patio is lovely—it's one of our favorites in Houston
