Boondocks

There is a humongous pierced and tattooed bouncer with a gruff yet friendly voice, a large patio space filled with skinny-jeans-wearing twentysomethings smoking Marlboro Reds and celebrating their youth.  Don’t be put off by the equally (if not more so) tattooed and pierced bartenders with fashionable facial hair—they are also super-friendly and attentive to everyone.  They will even pose for pictures if you ask them to. The atmosphere is hip with a Hellish vibe thanks to the darkness and the red lighting emanating from the giant red lantern overhead. Boondocks has only recently begun to host musical events and is slamming with hard rock almost every night.  If you are into the grungy hipster crowd then get yourself to the next Boondocks happy hour, which isn’t too far away since they do it every night at 5 p.m.

High tail it over here after work but do not leave your work clothes on unless you want to stick out like a sore thumb.
