A. D. Players
|
This group of thespians has expanded from a collection of part-time actors into one of Houston’s largest resident theaters. Nonprofit A.D. Players was founded in 1967 just a year after its director, Jeanette Clift George, was nominated for a Golden Globe for her riveting performance in the classic film The Hiding Place. George continues to direct the players, who perform up to five main-stage productions each season that maintain its values and spark creativity. A. D. Players also runs a children’s theater and provides fun classes and programs to help kids get a head start on speaking in front of an audience and boosting their confidence.
