Hillstone - Westheimer
When it comes to dining, we usually shun chains that clone themselves across the country. But for reasons we cannot fully explain, we love Hillstone. Despite the fact the national chain used to bear the name of Houston's, it's not because it was founded in our hometown, as many people assume. (Hillstone was actually started in Nashville.) But we know that part of our attraction is the long and varied menu, the fact that the food is consistently well-executed, and that the atmosphere feels like a French bistro. Then there’s the fact that we’re addicted to the gooey spinach dip—nobody makes it better. And the prime rib is to die for.
There's almost always a wait for a table, so embrace patience; it's worth it.
