As Houston’s only resource for nationally recognized contemporary craft works of art, Goldesberry Gallery exhibits glass, fiber, wood and metal, including jewelry, painting, collage and mixed media. The gallery’s diverse lineup draws patrons from all over the country looking for unusual and distinctive art works such as figurative pieces to hang on your wall that look like little blue monsters by Melody Ellis, a tea set in the shape of tornadoes by Sharon Dennard, and vessels of all shapes, sizes and colors. Eccentric and discriminating art collectors are drawn to the wildly original wood block prints, drawings and collages. If you’re a jewelry lover, do not expect to come away empty-handed, as the pieces here are to die for and have prices to match. Goldesberry is one of several funky destinations located in Houston’s Gallery Row.
