Art League of Houston

A center of art for more 60 years

As one of Houston’s longest operating non-profit visual arts organizations and the first alternative art space in Texas, the Art League of Houston has been a center for art for more than 60 years. Since 1948, it has showcased more then 750 exhibitions involving nearly 22,000 artists and held art classes for 30,000 students. The league has been in its Montrose location since 1969; a new tin building was constructed on the site in 2007.

Inversion Coffee House takes up part of the Art League building.
