Known to everyone as The Duck, this cozy Irish pub presents live music most nights of the week—folk, country, blues, and of course, Celtic. The bar offers an impressive array of international beers on draught or by the bottle, a large assortment of wines and an O'Mara's Irish Country Cream coffee that delivers a robust kick. We always buy tickets in advance when Shake Russell or the Austin Lounge Lizards are booked, the chance to experience their concerts in an intimate setting like this is almost unheard of.
The food here is great, too. Keep up with their event calendar to be treated to a beer or wine pairings dinner since their tap wall competes with the delicious Shepherd's pie and fish and chips. Nab a seat by the stage, since the mostly-acoustic live tunes will enhance rather than detract from your date night conversation.
