The smell of crawfish boiling in the pot will fill the air along with classic rock, Motown and traditional Cajun tunes at the Rails and Tails Mudbug Festival. Chow down on a variety crawfish specialties from the French Quarter Grill while listening to tunes from sizzling groups sure get you moving and grooving.
Here's the lineup: On Saturday, Louisiana's Joel Martin Project takes to the stage at noon, Cajun Rockers-Bayou Roux is up at 2 p.m. and Beatles tribute band, The Fab 5, close out the day around 4 p.m. On Sunday, enjoy Motown and classic rock from the Grateful Geezers at noon, Bayou Roux at 2 p.m. and Waylon Thibodeaux at 4 p.m.
Festivals foods and beverages will provided by Cisco's Salsa Company and Tomball's H-E-B. There will be lots of activities for kids in the H-E-B Kids Play Zone, free pony rides, vendors, games and more. Tomball's new mascot, Rusty Rails, is set to arrive, so this will be guests' first opportunity to meet the railroad man in person.
In addition, challengers will compete in a Boudin Ball Eating Contest on Saturday, with the top dog winning two nights at the Victorian Condo and Resort in Galveston.
Bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets for grass seating. Coolers are welcomed, but outside alcohol is not permitted on the festival grounds.
