Robert Kennedy Jr. is a resolute defender of the environment and an insightful social and political commentator. He was named one of Time magazine's "Heroes for the Planet" for his success in helping Riverkeeper, New York's clean water advocate, lead the fight to restore the Hudson River. He serves as senior attorney for the Natural Resources Defense Council. Among his published books are The New York Times bestseller, Crimes Against Nature (2004), and The Riverkeepers (1997).
Kennedy with former Mayor Bill White appeared together at the premiere of The Progressive Forum in June of 2005.
