A true Texas original, Ivins was a sharp-tongued wit who skewered the political establishment and the "good ol' boys" with her unforgettable humor and wisdom. Written by twin sisters Margaret Engel and Allison Engel, themselves longtime journalists, the play celebrates Ivins' courage and tenacity.
The evening begins with a beer, wine and heavy hors d'oeuvres reception followed by a 7:30 p.m. show. Proceeds from the event benefit the Texas Observer.
