Periwinkle will be painting the town purple as it hosts its Takin’ It to The Streets Gala. The evening celebrates The Periwinkle Foundation’s expanded partnership with Texas Children’s Hospital with the Periwinkle Arts in Medicine Program. Just as art is used in the Foundation’s mission to positively change the lives of thousands of children and families challenged by cancer and other life threatening illnesses, the Takin’ It to The Streets Gala will embrace the bold and bright culture of street art and our local arts community.

The evening will be a vibrant experience with high-energy performances by speed painter Dan Dunn, and live music provided by a “Glee Meets Stomp” ensemble, Vocal Trash. The Periwinkle Foundation will be recognizing key supporters including Nancy Kline Cogan, In Memoriam, as the 2016 Gerson Award Recipient along with The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa and Valero Energy Foundation.
