The Museum of Printing History honors Dr. O.H. "Bud" Frazier, director of the Cardiovascular Surgery Research at Texas Heart Institute. He is internationally known for his invention of the valve which allows humans to live with no pulse, and was featured on the cover of the March 2012 Issue of Popular Science for his work. Dr. Frazier is also a collector of fine antiquarian books, and is committed to the museum's mission of preserving the printed word.
John Beddow, publisher of Houston Business Journal, and Russ Capper of The Business Makers Radio Show, will serve as masters of ceremony. Douglas Brinkley, who recently released his book Cronkite, will be the keynote speaker.
