Take a (mental) vacation to the Big Apple with this lunchtime lecture/tour series. Curators will talk about the craftsmen and artists of New York City through the centuries. The series is inspired by the MFAH exhibition Duncan Phyfe: Master Cabinetmaker in New York, on view June 24 through Sept. 9, which reflects the story of a craftsman and of a city that has fostered creative endeavor from its earliest days.
After each talk, guests are invited to join docent-led tours of the Bayou Bend Collection, with a focus on objects that have connections to New York.
